As US Solar prepared to relocate and elevate their workplace experience, Atmosphere played a key role in helping the organization create an active, engaging environment that reflects both their ecological values and their collaborative team culture. Partnering closely with A&D firm Studio BV, Atmosphere supported the furniture specification process and shaped a solutions-oriented approach rooted in adaptability, budget stewardship, and thoughtful workplace strategy.
One of the project’s defining opportunities was the ability to reuse furniture from the property management’s previous spec suite. Atmosphere helped US Solar strategically integrate these existing pieces into their new space, maximizing tenant improvement dollars, and minimizing unnecessary purchasing. By carefully assessing what could be reimagined and where new items were needed, the team kept new orders to a minimum—adding only select workstations, offices, and huddle rooms to support the client’s growth.
Collaboration across partners—Studio BV, Mission Construction, and key manufacturing partners—was essential to delivering a space aligned with US Solar’s goals. Together, the team identified budget-friendly, high-impact solutions, ensuring the environment supported a variety of work modes. The new workplace now includes expanded focus rooms, a flexible training room, and a bright, window-lined open office that complements the company’s natural aesthetic and sustainable mission.
Since moving in, US Solar has shared enthusiastic feedback about how the furniture and layout amplify the building’s natural light, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that connects seamlessly with the timber architecture. The inclusion of a larger café-style breakroom, a central gathering zone, along with hospitality-inspired meeting spaces, has helped reinforce their culture of connection and cross-department collaboration.
By adapting existing assets, enhancing key programmatic areas, and aligning furniture strategy with US Solar’s brand and operational needs, Atmosphere helped create a refreshed workplace that is both environmentally and economically thoughtful to support the team’s momentum in their new Minneapolis home.
