A growing trend towards niche healthcare prompted the four partners of a local multi-disciplinary clinic to come together and create a specialized clinic catering to the needs of Madison and Dane County women.

Madison Women’s Health opened in the spring of 2010 after an exhaustive search for just the right facility that would be convenient, professional, and project the comforting image of the newly formed partnership.

Located on the fourth floor of a multi-tenant building, the new office offers scenic views of Madison and its beautiful lakes, parks and capitol.

“Walking into the new Madison Women’s Health on Research Drive, you might mistake it for a spa.” This quote from Madison Magazine epitomizes the aesthetic the physicians hoped to achieve. Working with real estate representatives from Oakbrook Grubb Ellis and Eppstein Uhen Architects, Atmosphere Commercial Interiors helped to make this vision a reality.

We provided all of the finishes and furniture for the fit-out of the new space, which includes 19 exam rooms, ultrasound, procedure and monitoring spaces. The nurses in this practice have a light-filled work area complete with a WalkStation™, collaborative workstations and team areas to encourage communication and interaction with all of the physicians.

Unlike most practices, the physicians chose to office in a “team room” that includes individual workspaces and lounge areas for all to share. The 16,000 square foot space also houses a lab space with natural light, practice manager’s office, expansion space for a related specialty practice, break room, and a multi-purpose room that can transform from yoga studio to prenatal classroom or a board room setting.

The vision of the physicians to provide “whole woman care” is truly accomplished in this efficient, welcoming space.
