Salt River Fields at Talking Stick – Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks

Opened in the spring of 2011, the 11,000 seat ballpark and adjoining complex of Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is the first Major League Baseball spring training facility to be built on Indian land in the nation. This project offered the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a Native American community to create a sports complex that showcases cultural diversity, and the rich history, culture and artistic values of the Pima and Maricopa Indian Tribes.
